An opportunity exists in New York City for an outgoing, self starter with at least two years industry experience.
Candidate will be trained in all aspects of corporate cash management marketing including: fixed income investing, money market funds, regulatory issues, accounting methodology, etc. Initially, Candidate’s primary task will be telephone marketing. Over time, candidate will develop skill set to manage clients and interact with portfolio management team. Responsibilities:
Business development and sales: • Call on corporate treasurers to introduce cash management services • Qualify leads and new business opportunities • Initiate and/or maintain telephone contact with new or existing clients and prospects • Set up appointments for on-site visits by senior management • Follow up on sales leads from conference/seminar contacts and other marketing sources • Work closely with senior management to maintain and assist in building client database • Research company and contact data on Internet • Monitor web information for opportunities and contacts • Coordinate e-mail communications • Data mine for potential clients from internal and external sources • Maintain sales material inventory and call reports both electronically and in hard copy • Proactively communicate with team members
Sales Support: • Help keep prospects live and cultivate leads by working collaboratively with senior management • Participate in selected outside sales calls • Prepare and assemble collateral materials for sales presentations • Assist in the development of proposals
Personal Characteristics: • Energetic self starter who will take ownership of process • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to research and prioritize information • Solid team player • Effective time management skills Requirements: • Bachelors degree • 2-4 years experience, sales and/or fixed income background preferred • Series 7 and 63 preferred, but not required • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and contact database management
