An exciting opportunity has arisen to join UBS as a HR Business Management Support Professional.

Description:

To strengthen our Human Resources Management Support Team in Asia Pacific we are looking for an ambitious, experienced HR professional in Business Management Support.

The position is based in Hong Kong, with a reporting line to the Head of APAC HR Business Management. The Role-Holder will fulfil demanding tasks in the areas of strategic planning, project management, activity tracking/planning, communication and risk control.

The main responsibilities are the following:

  • Strategic Planning
    The Role-Holder will support management in HR growth projects and strategic planning. He/She will represent HR in business cases for the build-up in new domestic locations and supplies management with the required information for decision-making. This includes analyzing and formulating presentations on HR topics, drafting & preparing reports and proposals for management.
  • Project Management
    The Role-Holder will coordinate initiatives and projects within the regional HR team, which are focused on solving a business problems related to Human Resources issues. He/She will come up with proposals on how the roll-out and communication should be organized, continuously update management about the progress and work cross-functionally with client facing units and other support units.
  • Activity planning/tracking
    The Role-Holder will provide quarterly updates on HR activity planning and monthly updates on HR activities & competition to the management of the Business Sector. He/She is responsible for the agenda of the regional HR team meetings and follows up on agreed actions.
  • Communication
    The Role-Holder will support the Regional HR Business Management Team in driving the management and communication process within Asia Pacific business. He/She will prepare presentations and ensure a coherent delivery of messages throughout the company. The Role-Holder will also be responsible for content of the HR websites in Asia Pacific and for organizing presentations on HR topics to the APAC HR Management Team and APAC Management Team as well as tracking follow-up actions from these presentations.
  • Risk Management
    The Role-Holder will be involved in implementing and monitoring risk control measures within the HR & Recruitment Teams across all locations in Asia Pacific under the supervision of the Head of Regional HR Business Management.


Experience in Human Resources generalist coverage will be a plus. Ideally, the Role-Holder can provide Human Resources coverage for the APAC Human Resources staff.

The Role-Holder is expected to deal with management requests independently and handle ad hoc requests on a timely basis for the Head of HR Business Management and the APAC Head of Human Resources.

Requirements:

As a successful candidate, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Degree from a leading university (preferably HR, Economics or Business Admin).
  • 3-5 years of work experience as an HR generalist or in consulting firm with HR-related topics
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Very good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, independent team player with a flexible working style and strong operational skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Meticulous and details oriented in approach
